Goals

Since our farm is small, we are able to give each horse individual attention. Every foal is imprinted and handled from birth. All our stock are registered with the Norwegian Fjord Horse Registry and microchipped for positive identification. Our goal is to help improve the breed by focusing on temperament, conformation, athleticism, and versatility.

We also have an interest in breeding to preserve all the colors of the Fjord, but only in excellent examples of the breed. This is why we have added the outstanding grey stallion, MVF Erlend, and the grey mare, MVF Kariella, to our stable. Their pedigrees are strong, featuring Lidaren, Valebu, Eggeprins, Graaman, Karibu, and Rusten, among others. Erlend's grey daughter, Sadie, also joined us. Our  Norwegian filly, Vilde, is light brown dun, but has all colors behind her, and is related to our filly, yellow dun Yenna.

We were excited about welcoming to our farm Vies Vilde, the number one yearling filly in Forde, Norway, 2001. Her very high scores ( 8-8-8-9-8) and her excellent pedigree containing all five colors of dun were strong selling points. What really made us want to take her home was her temperament. Although she was not for sale, the Vie family was kind enough to let us persuade them to steal her away. Her beauty and athletic ability will make her a fine performance and brood mare.

Erlend earned, at age 14, the NFHR Gold Medallion of Quality. He competes in Halter, Open English Pleasure Riding, Open Western Pleasure Riding, Open Pleasure Driving, and Light Draft. Of his 65 NFHR-registered progeny, some still quite young, over one third have distinguished themselves by earning Overall Grand Championships, Medallions of Quality, 1st or A premiums, and high class placements in Fjord or all-breed shows. Four of his daughters have earned NFHR Silver Medallions of Quality, and one, a Gold..

Erlend's reputation is such that we were asked to make frozen semen available to other countries. Thus far in his first shipment, we have one verified foal - Yahzuo in Australia. We are now responding to other inquiries.
