Clark - Our Departed Honorary Fjord Herd Member

We are very saddened to report that we had to have Clark put down in early 2003 - he was suffering from kidney failure and a tumor and was sinking fast with no hope of recovery. We will leave this Clark page on our website for the foreseeable future, mostly because we just like to remember the good times with Clark the goat (or horse?).

Clark came to us as a young "house goat." Consequently he considered himself much demoted to be expected to companion mere horses and dogs. Being the extremely clever and resourceful fellow that he was, however, he adapted well, though he still took every opportunity to try to sneak into the house. Thwarted in that endeavor, he would twine every halter, electrical cord, lead line, and piece of baling twine in the barn around his neck and then strut around like an out of season Christmas wreath.

He loved to "fight" with Pepper. Below are some pictures of their dances. Sonny would join in too, but Pepper was his real favorite, as you can see.
